Richard Stevens wrote a will and it was proven in Somerset Co., MD on Nov 3 1713: - To son, Richard, part of tract GODDARDS FOLLY (bounds are given). and other part of FAIRFIELDS not covered below - To wife, Abigail, part of GODDARS FOLLY for her life, also negroes Jack, Jesse and Bos, then equally divided between three sons at her decease, she to be executrix - To son, Isaac, Abigail's part after her decease and tract STEVENS CONQUEST, also feather bed, bolster ond covering, two cows/calves 2-3 years old - To daughter, Sarah Bounds, 300a of land that is part of 900a FAIRFIELDS for her life then to her son Jonathan Bounds, if Jonathan dies w/o issue then this land to Sarah's male heirs but, if none, then to Jonathan's sister Sarah Bounds, if she dies then to my daughters Ann, Abigail and Hannah Stevens, - To son, John, part of FAIRFIELDS and OLD PLANTATION - if a dispute arises, it shall be moderated by the Quaker people of this county - To daughter, Elizabeth Emmitt, 1000 lbs of tobacco, a cow and a mare colt. - Richard Waters, Benjamin Cottman, William Kibble and good friends George and John Truitt to assist wife as needed to oversee this will.
