William Bozman (as Bosman) named as a headright in 1649 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown on a certificate granted to Ralph Barlowe.3
William witnessed a will on 13 January 1661/62 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that William Bosman and Thomas Walley witnessed the will of John Robinson, wife Mary. He bought land in 1663 at tract N111, Silver Beach, Northampton Co, VA. It was in this year that by an unrecorded deed, that Stephen Charlton sold 200 aces to William Bosman, and William Major, son of John, now assigned the original patent to Bosman. For a long tim the gut between this land and N110 was called Bosman's Gut. Will and Ellen Bosman reassigned to John Tilney and Willam Major gave him a release for any interest he might have.
He immigrated in 1663 to Somerset Co, MD. William Bosman moved to Someset Co, MD with his wife Eleanor and his children: Catharine, John, Bridget, William, Anne, George & Mary by 1663 (They are her stepchildren!). He died before 5 August 1664 at Somerset Co, MD. It was on this date that his will was probated.William made a will before 5 August 1664 at Somerset Co, MD. His will was undated and proved on 5 Aug 1664. He named a wife Ellinor, Extr, sons John, William and George (all to receive land at age 17), daughters Mary, Catharine, Bridgett (under age 15) and Ann (under age 15), and overseers Capt. William Thorne and Thomas Bloyse.
