A lot of what is here is from the well-docmented "Miles Files" at the Eastern Shore Public Library.
Edmund was born in 1584 at North Walsham, Co Norfolk, England before his baptism was recorded there on Dec 25 1584. He was named in his father's will on Sep 5 1604 where he was shown as a my son (i.e., Henry Scarburgh's son) Edmund, to be maintained and kept ( ) of the Inns of Court till he hath taken the degree of a barrister (as Barester). Edmund was the writer of his father's will.
On Sept 10 1614, we find a confirmation of arms and grant of crest to three brothers Henry, John and Edmund, sons of Henry Scarburgh, by Segar. Sometime before Feb 1 1615, Edmund married Hannah 'Anna' Smith, daughter of Rev. Edmund Smith and Alice Barry - they were evidently married when his brother Henry left him and his wife gold rings in rememberance of him.
Edmund married Hannah (Anna) Smith, daughter of Rev. Edmund Smith and Alice Barry, before 1615. (Hannah (Anna) Smith was born about 1594 in England and died after 19 Feb 1635 in Northampton Co., VA.)
