On Apr 24 1754, Daniel Tingle conveyed 84a of "Double Purchase" and 100a of "Gunshot Ridge" to Caleb Tingle (WoLR-C:144). On Jun 18, 1754, Caleb Tingle had tract "Calebs Discovery" surveyed for 100a - he and wife Elizabeth sold this land to Abijah Davis on Mar 23 1776 (WoLR-I:661). On Jul 28, 1756, Caleb Tingle had the 317a tract "Tingles Good Luck" surveyed for him, it was a resurvey of elder tracts "Gunshot Ridge" and "Double Purchase," the latter had been surveyed for his father Daniel Tingle and Apr 15 1747.
On Feb 9 1759, John Lockwood sold Caleb Tingle 69a of "Hopkins Chance" (WoLR-D:363). On Apr 23 1759, he had tract "Lands End" surveyed for him for 15a. On Nov 4 1761, Joshua/Ann Hall sold land to Caleb Tingle, 11a part of "Conclusion" (WoLR-E:240). On Jan 28 1768, John Evans, Caleb Tingle and Mathias Davis conveyed land in "Partnership" to Henry Bell (WoLR-G:297). On Oct 24 1770, he had his "Lands End" tract resurveyed into "Lands End Enlarged" making it a 40a tract.
On Nov 1 1763, Caleb Tingle bought 24a of "Mitchells Deer Park" from Josiah/Sophia Mitchell (WoLR-F:64). On Dec 9 1769, Caleb Tingle purchased 302a of "Strabane" from William Ironshire (WoLR-H:148). On Mar 14 1774, Moses Freeman, executor of Obed Gault, conveyed 30a of tract "Obeds Willingness To Try" to Caleb Tingle and Ananias Hudson (WoLR-I:379). He sold this land to Ananias Hudson and Ann Gault on Feb 12 1780 (WoLR-K:253).
On Mar 23 1776, Caleb/Elizabeth Tingle convey land in tracts "Hilliards Discovery" (35a), "Double Purchase" (5a) and "Friends Advice" (old "Contentment", 24a) to Josiah Mitchell (WoLR-I:650). On Apr 17 1776, Caleb sold 66a of "Double Purchase" to Mathias Davis (WoLR-K:1). On Dec 1 1791, Tingle had surveyed the 80a "Treble Purchase" tract, this was part of "Temple Hall". All these tracts are situation in Worcester Co. generally in the modern-da triangular area (2017) surrounded by US 50, US 113 and MD Route 90.
Caleb Tingle worte his will on Jul 21 1797 and it was proven in Worcester Co., MD on Feb 6 1798: - to son Daniel if he gives up note in hand of about 50 pounds (if not, this to be divided among the rest of my children), all of several tracts (gives bounds and adjoins Belitha Powell, Mathias Davis, Josiah Mitchell and tracts "Hillards Discovery", "Double Purchase"), also negro man Sam - to son James, all of tract and resurvey called "Temple Hall" except 14a to go to Littleton Robins, and negro man Will - to son Elijah, tract call "Stroban" (sic, "Strabane") lying on west side of Pocomoke River and in the River swamp and negro boy Caleb - to son John, all land south of son Daniel Tingle heretofore given and adjoining Mathias Davis and heirs of Abijah Davis unless he dies before age 21, then to son Daniel Tingle. Also 1/2 the remainder of land N&E of son Daniel including improvements and plantation whereon I now live also negro woman Tamor and negro girl Rhodah after wife's decease, bed/furniture - son William, the other 1/2 of afsd lands adjoining William Collier, Zadok Powell and William Baynum and negro boy Leven - to son Elijah, bed/furniture - to daughter Sarah Tingle, woman Esther, negro girls Rachel, Jane & Minte, bed/furniture, case of drawers, 3 cows/calves, 6 ewes/lambs, large pot & pot hanger, mare named Squandor - to daughter Margaret Smith, negro boy Jacob - grandchildren, Edward, Elizabeth, Daniel and Caleb Dymock, land their father William Dymock conveyed to me near Salisbury - to loving wife Elizabeth, negro men Potter, Ezekiel and Sacker and to live on my plantation during her widowhood - son John to be sole executor Witnesses: Josiah Mitchell, William Covington, Levin Mitchell (WoW-1790/99:334)
