On Feb 9 1764, Samuel Rowland Sr., blacksmith, sold his son Samuel Rowland Jr. 160a of land, the same land that the former had gotten from his father Samuel Rowland Esq. for £80 (SxLR-Roll 004:032).
Samuel Rowland Jr. wrote his will on Dec 15 1765 and it was probated in Sussex Co. on May 10 1766 with the following provisions:
- To beloved wife Elizabeth, use of all my estate during her widowhood
- To children John, James, Samuel, Elizabeth, Wrixham, Comfort rest of estate.
- Wife Elizabeth and "loving brother" Wrixham Lewis of Lewes to be executors.
