B:446 Jacob Kollock the Elder "being now an aged person" 17 February 1767 (note: much of this will is unreadable) To "now" wife Margaret Kollock - to enter into such lands and plantation as I now devise to her as soon as may be convenient after my decease. Use of Negroes Ciros, Ohillis, Phebe and Sabro. That the house and lots where I live to be excluded from the sale of my property. That she receive the profits of the mill plantation until my youngest son Phillip Kollock is of age and then the property to be sold To my children - that given to wife after her death or widowhood with the children of my deceased daughter Jane Lewes having their mother's share To daughter Hester Kollock - Negro boy Moses and as much bedding, chests, plate and pewter as needed toward housekeeping and to be of equal value as that given to her sister J__ (deceased) or to her sister Catherine Wiltbank. This to be delivered to her by her mother To daughter Mary Kollock - Negro boy Paris and that needed for housekeeping and equal in value as above. This to be given to her by her mother To son Phillip - Negro boy Cato and those things need for housekeeping as above and to be delivered to him by his mother when he is 21 years old. Also 30 pounds for his clothing at the time of his apprenticeship To my children Jacob Kollock, Magdalane Swift, Hannah Nunez, Catherine Wiltbank, Hester Kollock, Mary Kollock, Phillip Kollock and the children of deceased daughter Jane Lewis - remainder of estate To granddaughter Mary Swift - a gold mourning ring and a good bed and furniture to be given to her by my Executors Executor: wife Margaret or (in case of wife's death) my youngest son Phillip and my daughter Catherine Wiltbank (wife of Abraham Wiltbank) Witness: Samuel Paynter, John Rodney, Henry Neill Codicil to the above will 14 June 1771 That son Phillip (now of full age) and Mary Fields (wife of Nehemiah Fields) appointed as Executors after the decease of wife To son Phillip - all that tract whereon he now lives which I lately purchased of Gilbert Mariner Witness: John Rodney, John Woods, Henry Neille 21 February 1772 Then came John Rodney Esq. and Henry Neill
His gravestone states "Here lies the body of Jacob Kollock Senr, Esq., who departed this life on the 7th day of February 1772, in the 80th year of his age. He was several years Speaker of the House of Assembly of which he was a member for the County of Sussex upwards of fourty years. His advanced age little assuaging the great loss sustained in him by his Family in a kind husband and tender father and by the Publick in a friend."
