To Margaret Maddox (wife): riding horse named Topping; plantation where I live for her lifetime with all rights and privileges and to be able to take timber on land given to son Thomas.
To Mary Maddox (daughter): bed and furniture, to be given on the day of her marriage. New spinning wheel, small pot, chest that she kept her clothes in.
To Alexander Maddox (son): plantation where I now live up to a little branch called Hoghouse Branch.
To Nathaniel Maddox (son): livestock to be raised on the plantation until he comes of age.
To Lazarus Maddox (son): livestock to be raised on plantation until he comes of age.
To Elizabeth Maddox (daughter): livestock, and one small spinning wheel on the day of her marriage.
To Thomas Maddox (son): young cow to be given to him when he comes of age. Tract of land from the little branch called Hoghouse Branch into the woods, but not to hinder Alexander from taking timber for the use of the plantation.
