In her husband's will, Margaret Hall writes: Sworn before Benton Harris -
"Sir my son is come to prove his father's will and as my husband has not left me any thing in his will; I expect I have my choice to take my thirds of the estate if I please by leting you know my election of my choice. I therefore take this oppertunity to let you know my intention of taking my thirds of my husbands estate and this is all at present from your most humble servant." 12 Apr 1771 Margaret Hall widow
