On Jun 07 1749 (54 ac) Elias Bailey, planter, sold 54a of "Fat Ass Quarter" to Charles Hayman, planter. (WoLR-B:164) On Mar 22 1750, John Anderson, planter of Somerset et ux. Rachel Anderson sold tract "Adleys Chance to Charles Hayman (Ibid:268).
On Aug 26 1756, Charles Hayman had surveyed for him tract called "Hopewell" for 175a and he was granted patent on Apr 18 1758. It had improvements with logg'd house 15x15, 4a cultivated land enclosed w. fence, an old log'd house w. brick chimney, 1a cultivated land enclosed w. fence and 12 apple trees (WoCert:1336)
On Dec 07 1764, Charles Hayman (son of William Hayman) sold 116a, part of "Hopewell" (part of land on which grantor lives) to Charles Hayman (of Somerset) (son of James Hayman), including land where Richard Parramore lived. (WoLR-F:243)
Charles Hayman wrote his will Aug 1 1784 and it was probated in Worcester Aug 3 1787: -To son Isaac Hayman - 54 ac of tract Fat Ass Quarter and 50 ac of Adley's Chance -To sons William Hayman and Charles Hayman - rest of land -To wife Ann - movable estate Executor: wife Ann Witnesses: James Hayman, Cannon Lank, John Harris Hayman, Then came widow elects to take her thirds.
