Joseph Goslee had the tract "Goslees Chance" surveyed for him on Jul 18 1772 for 130.75a. It was a resurveyed of part (34a) of a 192a tract "Goslees Lot" done for John Goslee on May 14 1763 and 41a tract "Hog Ridge" done for Joseph Goslee back on Aug 22 1761 (it added 55.5a of vacant land).
In 1780, Joseph Goslee is listed in the Salisbury Battalion, Mill Creek Co., Maryland militia during the Revolution.
Joseph Goslee wrote a will on Sep 23 1791 that was probated in Somerset Co. on Mar 17 1795 with the following provisions: -To wife Priscilla, 50a of land and negro wench Mall during her widowhood. Her increase to go to children Betsy, Sally and William equally -To eldest son Samuel all the land I now possess after the 50a aforesaid is taken out for my wife.
