On Apr 3 1803, Lowder Smullen sells to Samuel Hillman his negro woman, Jenny, for $100. (WoLR-X:90)
On Mar 25 1805, Lowder Smullen and Elisa his wife both of Somerset sell 65a of land to John Dorman of Worcester for 72 pounds, part of "Harmsworth" that Elisa Smullen was entitled to after the death of her father Stephen Ward (SoLR-P:508). On Mar 29 1805, Lowder Smullen sold land to John and Zorobabel Smulling (all of Somerset) for 50 pounds, all of the lands that fell to him at the death of his father, Nathaniel Smullen. (SoLR-P:511). This is about the time Lowder moves west to Indiana.
