Polly Hastings, widow, wrote her will on Jan 31 1845 and it was proven in Sussex Co. DE on Oct 22 1845:
- To Peter Hastings, $25 from Willam Gordy that is due to me
- To daughter Fanny Hastings, bed/furniture, half dozen stools, walnut table
- To daughter Molly Hastings, bed/furniture, young cow and half a case of drawers
- To three youngest daughters Molly, Nancy Hastings and Chally Elliott, negro boy Richard to be hired out and his wages to be divided between them
- To daughter Chally Elliott the other half of the case of drawers
- Moveable property to be sold and divided between my five daughters Fanny Hastings, Betty Gordy, Hetty Linch, Molly Hastings and Chally Elliott
- Archelus Hastings to be my executor

Mary married Frederick Hastings, son of Elijah S.* Hastings and Elizabeth (?). (Frederick Hastings was born about 1771 in Sussex Co., DE and died 15 Nov 1824-09 Dec 1824 in Sussex Co., DE.)
