From "A Hitch Orchard," Daisy Hitch Davies, 1931: "Jimmie" was a very small child when his parents died. His young life was not an easy one. He lived first with one brother, then the other and soon became a useful fixture around the meat market in HITCH BROTHERS at Princeton, IN. He has become an expert meat man equally good at slaughter house. In the sausage kitchen or being behind the counter waiting on trade.
Jimmie was a very popular boxer for some time and stood many bouts in southern Indiana; Evansville and Princeton mainly. He and his brother Austin maintain a bachelor apartment at Princeton, IN (1931)."
