Frances M. Hitch, grand-daughter of Alfred M. Hitch, states in an electronic mail message dated August 20, 1997, ". . . grandad went to Oklahoma during the Oklahoma Land Rush. He had gone there from Akron, Ohio. Left went back to Akron where my grandmother died and back to Oklahoma eventually living out his life in Amarillo. That is where he is buried."
