Samuel Fisher Sr.

Listed as head of house hold with 0000020000000-3100010000000 in District 1 & 2, Queen Annes Co. in 1840 Census; placing him as age 30-40 with 3 females under age 5, 1 female age 5-10 and his wife at age 30-40. There are also 4 free colored people in the household aged 24-36. In the 1850 Census for Queen Anne's Co., MD, he is listed as age 41 and born in DE and age 53 in 1860. His family moved to Chestertown, Kent Co., MD sometime in the 1860s where he shows up there in the 1870 census.

Samuel Fisher Sr. and Samuel Jr. also show up in the Voter Registration Records for Kent Co., MD from 1871-1880 and 1883-1890. For the former they are in the 5th District and Samuel Fisher Sr. is indicated as age 59, born in Delaware where Samuel Jr. is age 21, born in Queen Annes Co. Both are indicated to have been living in Kent Co. for the past 10 years. There is a note there that at some point transferred to the 4th District. For the 1883-1890 roll, they are both in the 3rd District, residing in Castletown with Jr. as age 32 (born in Queen Annes Co.) and Sr. at age 74 (born in DE). They are both stated to have been 16 years in Kent Co. and 2 years in the district.

Samuel married Elizabeth Riser/Biscoe on 28 May 1829 in Queen Annes Co., MD.¹ (Elizabeth Riser/Biscoe was born in 1803-1807 in MD ^{6 7 8} and died in 1871-1879 in Kent Co., MD.)
