Mary Read

George Read is found to be father of Mary Read, w/o Matthew Pearce, in a land transaction stating this from 1842, New Castle Co., DE. It states that he had four children George, William and John and Mary who had intermarried with Matthew Pearce. (NCLR-F6:313)

Mary married Matthew Pearce, son of Henry Ward Pearce and Anastasia Carroll, in 1787 in New Castle Co., DE. (Matthew Pearce was born on 21 Aug 1764 in Cecil Co., MD and died on 14 Jan 1832 in Cecil Co., MD.)
