He had moved to Wilmington, DE by 1868 when he is listed in the city directory. with his brother Daniel C. Hitch. A brief obituary appears for him in the Mar 10 1906 edition of the Denton Journal (Denton, MD). His death certificate says he was a railroad conductor and widower and died on Mar 4 1906 of heart disease only 3 days after his brother, Daniel C. Hitch. Lemuel married Margaret Conner about 1869. (Margaret Conner was born on 15 Jan 1852 in MD,7 8 died on 29 Feb 1904 in New Castle Co., DE and was buried about 02 Mar 1904 in Wilmington and Brandywine Cemetery, New Castle Co., DE.) |
