Augustine Thompson wrote his will Feb 12 1738/39 and it was proven in Queen Anne's Co. on Apr 24 1739 per the follwing provisions: - To daughter, Mary, now Mary Marsh, w/o Thomas Marsh of Kent Island, tract called Middle Plantation now in their possession in Cecil County if that fails then to daughter Sarah and if that fails to son Samuel if that fails to my cousin Robert, s/o my brother Richard Thompson. - To daughter Mary, tract in Cecil Co. called None So Good in Findland purchased by me of Mr. Richard Dowdall, also 20 pounds current money. - To daughter Sarah, all the land and plantation that lies to the eats of the new main road leading from Collins Mill to Kingstowne on Chester, between said road and Thos. Peacock Baks and Mr. John Collins plantation and also a tract called Shephards Field, part of the tract called the Tramble adjoining to the same. - To son Samuel, all the tract called Wilmores Range - 1/3rd personal estate to wife Elizabeth and 2/3rds to three children equally; Elizabeth Dowdall, Sarah and Samuel Thompson - Children to remain with their mother till they severally arrive of age. - Wife Elizabeth to be executrix.
