Elizabeth, w/o William Gordy is proven nee Melson. This compiler had conjectured that she was likely d/o of one of the elder Daniel Melson's sons. It panned out that she was d/o Elijah Melson who is established as son of Daniel of the elder Daniel Melson through the genealogy of the land tracts they owned. She is also the Eliza Gordy listed in the Elijah M. Gordy household in 1850 as age 53, although there is a bit of a 'white lie' there going on as she is more likely about age 60 at the time.
Eliza married William Gordy, son of William Gordy Sr. and (?) (?), about 1805. (William Gordy was born in 1780-1784 in Worcester Co., MD 1 and died 25 Feb 1842-13 Jan 1845 in Worcester Co., MD.)
