Nelly I. Pollitt wrote her will Nov 30 1836 and it was probated Dec 14 1841 in Somerset:
-To son Levin I. Pollitt all the land I now live on that was left to me by William Pollitt in Somerset Co. called "Hacklah" and "Venture" laid out for 150a by paying my daughter Elizabeth Esther Byrd one half
-Also to Levin and Elizabeth, my old negro woman Peggy whichever she would rather live with
-Rest to equally divide among my 4 children Gillis, Nelly G. Byrd, Elizabeth Esther Byrd and Levin I. Pollitt
-Levin to be executor
Codicil to have Levin pay his sister $375 instead of one half.

Eleanor married Levin Gillis Pollitt, son of Thomas Pollitt and Elizabeth Gillis, about 1796. (Levin Gillis Pollitt was born about 1766 in Somerset Co., MD and died on 29 Aug 1829 in Somerset Co., MD.)
