Thelma Doris Disharoon

Thelma Doris Bloxom, age 84, died at Harrison Senior Living in Snow Hill, on October 21, 2013. Born in Snow Hill, she was the daughter of the late Marion Disharoon and Eva Doris Gray Disharoon. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Orman Orris Bloxom and children; Regina Doris Royer and her husband Jeffery of Snow Hill, Kimberly Savage and her husband Robert of Painter, VA, Erick Ray Trader and his wife Barbara, of Snow Hill, and Kevin P. Bloxom of Gloucester, VA. There are five grandchildren; Lydia Doris Royer, Jessica Anne Royer, Kalyn Blair Bloxom, K.P. Bloxom, and William Kyle Bloxom, and two great-grandchildren.

Also surviving, is her sister, Irma Lee Henshall of Salisbury, MD., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Hazel Clara Wilkerson of Snow Hill. Mrs. Bloxom was a graduate of Goldy Beacom College, and had worked for Worcester County Dept of Social Services for 29 years. She was formerly a member of Atlantic United Methodist Church where she also served as the church organist. She was currently a member of Bates United Methodist Church in Snow Hill. An active member of both churches, she served as an officer for the Methodist Women's Organization for several years. In addition to her church, she loved to cook, travel, and play bridge, enjoying bridge membership in many bridges clubs for over 40 years.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Bates United Methodist Church. Friends may call ½ hour prior to the service. Rev. Everett Isaacs will officiate. Interment will follow in Bates United Methodist Cemetery on West Federal St in Snow Hill. A donation in her memory may be made to the Bates United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, C/o Bob Skeeter 313 East Market St. Snow Hill, MD 21863.

Thelma married Reginald Ray (Muttie) TRADER, son of Clarence James TRADER and Jeanette (Nettie) BALL. (Reginald Ray (Muttie) TRADER was born on 24 Apr 1923 in Worcester Co., MD and died on 02 Aug 1986 in CA.)

Thelma next married Ormon Orris BLOXOM. (Ormon Orris BLOXOM was born in 1932 in VA and died on 18 Dec 2019.)
