Mrs. Marion Disharoon
SNOW HILL - Funeral services for Mrs. Doris E. Disharoon, 79, of Snow Hill, will be held today at 3 p.m. in Bates United Methodist Church here. Mrs. Disharoon died Friday in Peninsula General Hospital after a long illness. The pastor, the Rev. Charles E. Strickler, will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Disharoon was born in Clarksville, Del., and was a daughter of the late Nathaniel and Elizabeth Pusey Gray. Her husband, Marion B. Disharoon, died in 1951. A daughter, Mrs. Gladys Townsend, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., died several years ago. Memberships for Mrs. Disharoon included Bates Church and the Nassawango Homemakers Club.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Lee Henshall, Ft. Lauderdale, Mrs. Thelma Bloxom, Wattsville, Va., and Miss Lillian E. Disharoon and Mrs. Hazel Wilkerson, Snow Hill; seven grandchildren; two great- grandchildren and a brother, James W. Gray, Snow Hill. Friends may call at the church today from 2 to 3 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Dennis Funeral Home here.
