Oon Nov 20 1708 (Somerset Co., MD), "Ebenzar Cottman", William Browne & Henry Frookes witnessed the will of Benjamin Nesham (Esham), wife unnamed.
On Sep 25 1734, for the tract First Choice, James Caldwell traded 10 acres of this tract with Ebenezer Cottman for 10 acres of tract St. Giles. Benjamin Cottman had bought 150 acres of this tract in 1716 and sold 100 acres of it in 1732 and perhaps gave the other 50 acres to Ebenezer.
On May 4 1782 Ebenezer Waller sold 10 acres of this tract to Everton Kennerly of St. Giles, Weatherlys Adventure & First Choice (that Ebenezer Cottman bought of James Caldwell. Ebenezer Waller is the son of Richard Waller and his wife Ann, who was Ann Cottman, the daughter of Ebenezer Cottman).

-To daughter Phyllis Cottman: my dwelling plantation, containing 200 ac [sic: 10 ac had been earlier alienated], 190 ac of ST. GILES, Also, land on the western side of the road that leads from Quantico Mill to Spring Hill Chapel. By county land records [So Deeds AZ:172] this was apparentl, 10 ac of FIRST CHOICE, mare called Colt; moveables should have ,10 levied out to repair buildings.
-To grandson Nathan Cottman (son of daughter Sarah Lowes): 200 ac of WEATHERLYS ADVENTURE, Cow and calf - the cow called Pied.
-To daughter Sarah Lowes: land left to Nathan if he dies without issue.
-To heirs of my daughter Mary Moore: one shilling sterling
-To daughter Ann Waller: one shilling sterling.
Executors: son-in-law George Lowes, daughter Phyllis Cottman.
Witnesses: Richard Green, Ralph Lowes, Hutson Lowes.
Ebenezer married Ann COOPER. (Ann COOPER died before 1760 in Somerset Co., MD.)
