Sarah Margaret POWELL

Mrs. I. S. Dennis, Aged 79, died at the home of her daughter at 301 Church street Monday morning at three o'clock. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Jennie Esham of Berlin, and six children -- Mrs. Mary E. Hearne, Mrs. Lee Baker and Mr. Wm. H. Dennis of Pittsville, Mrs Reese Dennis of Salisbury, Mrs Granville Banks of Willards, and Mrs Oscar Collins of Powellville. She is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Published Salisbury Times June 24, 1935

Sarah Margaret (Powell) Dennis was the daughter of the late Jacob R. Powell and Margaret Elizabeth Smack Powell.
