Maggie DENNIS

POWELLVILLE - Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Collins, 79. will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury. She died Tuesday at her home here afer a short illness. Officiating will e the Rev. Herbert Gladden, pastor of the Hebron Methodist Charge, and the Rev. Clarence J. Fox, pastor of the Powellville Methodist Charge. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, near here. Born near Pittsville, she wa a saughter of the late Sanford and Margaret Powell Dennis. She was a member of the Friendship Methodist Church, near here.

Surviving are her husband Oscar Collins, a son and six daughters, Frank Collins, Mrs. Mattie Jones, Mrs Elsie Howard, all of Salisbury; Mrs Ethel Rayne, Mrs. Fances Rayne, both of Willards; Mrs. Thelma Jones, Mrs. Gladys Kelly, both of Powellville; a brother and a sister, William H. Dennis, Mrs. Myra Baker, both of Pittsville; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight after 7:30.
