To wife Betty Marvel - all my real estate with a third of the messuages and tenements thereon for her natural life. Also 100 pounds out of the cash I leave in the house at my death and one third of movable estate. Also my black horse and the saddle and bridle
To my brother Phillip Marvel - all that tract purchased at John Beavins's venue and what I have added to the same by purchase or otherwise. Also 100 pounds out of the money I should leave behind in my estate
To nephew Josiah Marvel (son of Phillip) - all that part of the land and plantation where I now reside being the part on the north side of the place from a line that extends across the plantation next to the savannah and which I go through to the county road on the east side of my place. This part of my lands was taken up by my father in his lifetime and part of it I took up myself
To nephew Robert Barr - rest of my plantation on the south and east of the aforesaid division of his cousin Josiah with the improvements thereon. Also one of the beds and furniture in my house and a cow and calf and bridle, saddle and colt
To niece Betsy Robinson (daughter of Joshua) - Negro girl named Bett
To nephew Thomas Robinson (son of Joshua) - 50 pounds
To nephew James Jones (son of William) - 15 pounds
To brother in law Eli McCalley - 200 acres that I purchased of Matthias Jones and which is situated near him the said Eli
To brother Phillip and my brothers in law Joshua Robinson and Eli McCalley - rest and residue of estate
