In the Tax List of 1671 for Accomack County, Virginia, he was shown as George Truett with 2 tithes on Mr. John Wise's list. This was the first time he was shown separately on a Tax List, implying he was now over 21 years old. (NOTE: However, both he and his brother Henry were both listed separatley for the first time in 1671, the first tax year after their father died, and could have been listed under their father until his death in 1670, even though they were already over 21.)
Northampton County, Virginia: In 1672 a land patent for tract N123 (See Whitelaw's Land Books) for 350 acres was granted to Elizabeth and Paul Marsh, Mary and Richard Hinman, and Elianor and George Trewett, 300 acres of it having been sold by Waddiowe to Phillip Meredith and the balance being excess found within the bounds. (NOTE: These were the 3 daughters of Phillip & Ellinor Meredith.)
He wrote his willon 15 Aug 1720 in old Somerset (now Worcester) Co, Maryland: In his will George Truitt gave to Quakers land. To wife (unnamed) Extr & plantation. To son George Executor and tracts Mulberry Grove & Truitt's Harour. To son Samuel Executor & tract Hog Garden. To grandson Philip Truitt tract Mulberry Grove. To daughter Sarah Mumford tracts Truitt's Purchase & mentions her son George. To grandson George, son of Philip Truitt (dec'd) tract Truitt's Harbour. Mentions son-in-law James Mumford. To grandson William Truitt tract Truitt's Harbour. To daughters Susannah Truitt, Tabitha Truitt, Mary Shahannis & Elizabeth Davis. Witnesses: David Hazzard, Roseannh Cavanaugh & Katharine Davis. It was probated 21 Nov 1721
George married Eleanor Meredith, daughter of Philip Meredith and Elimor (?). (Eleanor Meredith was born about 1652 in Accomack Co., VA.)
