Josiah Adams wrote his will Oct 31 1788 and it was probated in Somerset on May 5 1789: -To sister Louisa Adams, all estate both real and personal upon the condition that she pays Ebenezer Handy's daughter, Mary Handy 75 pounds current money when she arrives at the age of 21 or on the day of marriage and named executrix of the will -Mary Handy, daughter of Ebenezer Handy, 75 pounds when she arrives at the age of 21 or day of marriage -Nancy Handy, daughter of Ebenezer Handy, Louisa to pay her 75 pounds when she comes of age 21 or day of marriage -Sarah Handy, daughter of Ebenezer Handy, Louisa to pay her 75 pounds when she comes of age 21 or on day of marriage -Amelia Handy, daughter of Ebenezer, Louisa to pay her 75 pounds when she comes of age 21 or on day of marriage -Thomas Hamilton, nephew (son of sister Sarah), 100 pounds to have at the age of 21 upon the condition he gives testator's sister a receipt as the sum being in full his part of his uncle Alexander Adams's estate. -Richard Handy, nephew, silver watch to be in the care of his father "until he is capable of wearing it."
