William Fletcher bought land in 1689 at tract A24, between Pungoteague & Craddockville, Accomack Co, VA. Whitelaw shows that in 1689 Abraham Taylor sold 50 acres of this track to William Fletcher which had come to him by his marriage to Sarah Smalley. Fletcher was the husband of Elizabeth Selvey and this parcel became merged with that land. Deed Index shows Abraham Taylor & wife Sarah sold land to William Fletcher in 1691, which may have been the date it was recorded.

He was named as the executor of a will on 2 May 1689 at Accomack Co, VA. In his will John Smalley gave to daughter Sarah Tailor. To daughter Elizabeth Smalley. To daughter Rebecka Smalley.
