John McGrath wrote his will Nov 5 1788 and it was proven Jan 25 1791 in Somerset Co., MD - To son David Gahergan McGrath, part of four tracts, "Owens Improvement", "Middle", "Owens Delight" and "Davids Chance" - To daughters Nelly and Elizabeth son David's land should he die without heirs also 30a of land on the north end of that given to David, for their lifetime, then back to David - To wife Sarah, all the lands given to David to use for her widowhood - To nephew John McGrath Jr. all part of four tracts given to son David but on the other side of the road that leads from Princess Anne to Monie Bridge - To nephew David McGrath, four tracts "Refuge", "Hobbs Adventure", "Privilege" and "Swine Yard" and said lands not to be mortgaged or sold except the one tact "Privilege" Witnesses: Thomas Wright, William Whitney, Thomas Noble (SoW-EB17:131) (SoAA-EB16:639)
