William Phillips EB17:294 12 Sep 179303 Feb 1794 To son Elisha Phillips: lands and plantation where I now live, also, black walnut desk , feather bed and furniture, yoke of oxen, gun, livestock, case and bottles, pewter dish, basin, two plates, two spoons, all lands and plantation where he now lives, agreeable to the divisions between him, William and Isaac, To son William Phillips: all lands and plantation he lives on for his life, " To grandson Handy Phillips (of William): lands left to William at his decease. To grandson Whitty Phillips (of Elisha [as Elijah?]): lands where his father now lives after father's decease. A colt his father has in his possession. To grandson Roger Phillips: young mare his father Isaac has in his possession. To daughter Rachel Phillips: feather bed and furniture, livestock, two flag chairs, maple table and one-third of pewter not already willed. To daughter Mary Phillips: feather bed and furniture, livestock, pewter plates, two flag chairs, maple table and one-third of pewter not already willed. To wife Peggy Phillips: riding chair, bed and furniture, livestock, one-third of pewter not willed. Remainder of estate to be divided among children (also naming daughter Betty Trader, not mentioned above) except son Roger Phillips. Executors: son Elisha Phillips, wife Peggy Phillips. Witnesses: Benjamin Wailes, Ephraim Wilson, John Wilson. Widow Peggy Phillips elected her lawful thirds, real and personal.
