Jesse Fooks is listed on the 1783 tax list for Worcester County, Jesse Fooks was listed in Wicomico Hundred with 620 acres of Duncastle, 126 acres of Addition to Exp., 2 horses, 10 black cattle and his family consisted of six males and two females.

Jesse Fooks had surveyed and patented for him the following lands in Worcester Co.:
"Lottery" on Jan 24 1785 for 25 acres
"Standfast" on Jan 26 1785 for 1316 acres
"Slim Chance" on Sep 9 1788 for 62.5 acres
"Addition to Hog Quarter" on Oct 19 1790 for 179 acres

Jesse Fookes of Worcester County, planter, made his will Oct 6 1802 and it was proven on May 20 1807, devising to daughter Rachel one horse, one cow and calf, one bed and furniture and four sheep; son Charles one sett of blacksmith's tools, one bed and furniture and five sheep; son Seth one yoke of oxen and one horse; son James Fookes whole and sole executor; witnesses Michael Jackson, Benjamin Fookes, Eben Rook (WoW-MH4:72).
