From "A Hitch Orchard", Daisy Hitch Davies, 1931: Fannie M. Hitch was a school teacher. She gave me a bit of information when I called on her in Laurel, DE. in the summer of 1930. She was a woman of low voice, gentle manner and great self-control, even though an invalid from rheumatism and not able to walk or do much for herself.
