Deceased-\emdash With much regret we have to announce the death of our esteemed fellow-citizen, S. Washington Parker, who died yesterday afternoon of Bilious Dyscentery. Mr. Parker had been engaged in the Mercantile business here for several years past. He was a fine citizen, a good Merchant and an honest man. His remains will be interred in the Family
burying ground, near the residence of Mr. Samuel Fooks, at 12 o'clock, M., on Sunday, the 24th inst. The funeral services will be held at the M.P. Chapel, of which he was a member, at 10 o'clock, A.M. (Salisbury Advertiser, 9/23/1871)
