DEATH OF MRS. PARKER

Mrs. Eliza Parker, relict of the late Elisha Parker, died Tuesday
afternoon at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. Merrill H. Fooks, where
she was visiting. Mrs. Parker was a native of Parsons' district,
which was then in Worcester county. She was born in 1811. Much of
her later life has been spent in Nutter's district, where she held
landed interests. She leaves five children - Mr. B. H. Parker, a
prominent citizen of this town, Mrs. Emma Fooks, wife of Merrill H.
Fooks, John E. Parker, Mrs. Matilda Fooks and Mrs. Ester Huffington.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Parker's Chapel,
conducted by Rev. C. S. Arnett, and were largely attended. The
Remains were interred in the family burying ground on the home farm in
Nutters district.
