We know Sarah Disharoon's maiden name from Thomas Hearn, her father. He left the land tracts "Hearns Adventure" and "St. Kitts" to his son John in 1762 but by 1768, John had died and the right to the land reverted to his sisters Jemima Hitch (w/o Joseph Hitch), Sarah Disharoon (w/o Francis) and Ann Hearn, one-third each. Joseph and Jemima Hitch sold their portion to Samuel Haynie in 1768 (SoLR-D:216); Francis/Sarah Disharoon to Haynie on Mar 14 1772 (Ibid-E:190) and Ann Hearn to Haynie in 1774 (Ibid-F:226). These two tracts are near modern Delmar, MD, a bit west and south of the MD/DE state line.

Sarah married Francis Disharoon, son of John Disharoon Jr. and Mary Langkake, after 1762. (Francis Disharoon was born about 1743 in Worcester Co., MD and died 06 Apr 1788-24 May 1788 in Somerset Co., MD 1.)
