*Thomas Gordy is uncertain father for William Gordy (1755/59-1805) but the evidence is very compelling as well as the fact that Thomas Gordy seems to be the only locally-situated Gordy to have been old enough at the time to have fathered a son of William Gordy's age born in 1755/59.
On May 20 1758, Thomas Gordy purchased tract "Turtle Ridge" from John Records (WoLR-D:293). On Jun 28 1760, Thomas Gordy sold tract "Turtle Ridge" to William Adkins (WoLR-E:47). This land was in Worcester but is in modern Sussex Co., DE.
Thomas* married Eleanor Bloxom about 1760.
