According to correspondence from Robert Arthur Hitch of 4507 Shop Street, Chester, VA 23831, dated January 6, 1995: "My grandfather, Arthur Hitch, was born in 1847 and died in 1927. He was first a farmer near Laurel, Del. then moved to Seaford and ran a carriage manufacturing and restoration business until his death. My grandmother was Frances Corkran born 1855 and died 1946. My grandparents and Aunt Lola are buried in Seaford. The house still stands at 216 Arch Street."
