"The Hitch family as represented by my grandfather" (referring to Thomas Hitch) "in Clermont Co. (Ohio) were considered as people of high standing and worth. Grandfather was at one time a member of the state legislature. His beautiful 300 acre farm on the east side of the Little Miami was the 'Prize' farm of the county for years."
