Hitch, age 9, born in IN - William Hitch Jr., age 16, born in IN - William Hitch Sr., age 77, born in KY (notes he is disabled due to rheumatism).

In the Federal Census of 1900, Octavius Hitch is listed in Crawford County, Kansas in a household as follows: - Octavius Hitch, born 11/1836 in OH - Elisabeth Hitch, born 12/1837 in OH.

In the Federal Census of 1910, Octavius G. Hitch is listed in Girard, Crawford County, Kansas in a household as follows: - Octavius G. Hitch, age 75, born in OH - Elizabeth Hitch, age 72, born in OH.

In a file of Veterans Administration Pension Payment Cards (Index) 1907-1933 in the National Archives, it states that Octavius G. Hitch died on February 3, 1914 and that he had been a Quartermaster Sergeant in Comp nay A, 5th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry. (Cert. No. 382608)
