Elijah Vincent

Elijah Vincent's inventory was brought forth on Apr 25 1787 as £661.10.7. When an accounting of his estate was performed, payment was made to Louther Hitch and distributions made to children Eli, Levinah and Esther Vincent. (SoAA-EB16:197/198)

In his father's will (Benjamin Vincent) of 1773, it names two children under age 21. The others, including Elijah Vincent are presumed to be at least age 21 at that time.

  Notes:

The death years for Elijah and Annis (Hitch) Vincent are derived from the fact that their last child Esther was born after 1777 and all their children were designated as orphans in 1786.

Elijah married Annis Hitch, daughter of John Hitch and Isabell Nicholson, about 1771. (Annis Hitch was born about 1751 in Somerset Co., MD and died in 1777-1786 in Somerset Co., MD.)
