Notes:

The "Salisbury Advertiser" of Jun 1 1872 states that, "On the morning of the 28th inst. at Zion, the wife of Marcellus Brown died from cancer of the breast. Her sufferings within the past few weeks were intense, yet the resignation at the hour of death was calm and unwavering, and she passed gently away from a world of suffering to a more blissful life beyond the grave." Thus, she is shown to have attended Zion Church which was located on Meadow Bridge Road (on the Worcester County side), about one mile south of its intersection with McGrath Road. She is buried in the Brown cemetery just north and east of the intersection with those two roads.

Elizabeth married Marcellus Brown, son of George Tull Brown and Nancy Christopher, about 1847. (Marcellus Brown was born on 04 May 1822 in Worcester Co., MD,³ ⁴ ⁵ died on 09 Feb 1898 in Worcester Co., MD ¹ ³ and was buried about 12 Feb 1898 in Brown Family Cemetery, Worcester Co., MD.)
