Evalyn Hitch FORT WORTH - Evalyn Elizabeth Matkin Hitch, 83, a homemaker, died Tuesday at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole. Burial: 10 a.m. Monday in Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon, Okla. Memorials: Presbyterian Night Shelter. Mrs. Hitch was born in Beaver County, Okla., and was a 1930 graduate of Liberal High School in Liberal, Kan. She married Harry H. Hitch in 1934. They made their home in Fort Worth in 1941. He died in December 1973. Mrs. Hitch was a member of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth, the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Crestwood Garden Club and the Easter Seal Auxiliary. Survivors: Son, retired Army Lt. Col. James K. Hitch of Middleburg, Va.; three grandchildren, Sarah Foot of Berryville, Va., Katherine Hitch of Gwelup, Western Australia, Australia, and George Hitch of Chicago; and a great-grandson, Hastings Foot III of Berryville.
