In the Snow Hill Democrat of Nov 4 1882: "William B. Jones, a former resident of this town, died at the Maryland Hospital, (Spring Grove Insane Asylum) on the 25th of October, 1882 aged about 72 years. Mr. Jones was admitted in the asylum on the 20th day of April, 1855, and had, consequently, been there at the time of his death, 27 years, 6 months and 5 days. At the rate that is now paid for indigent inmates of said hospital, the deceased has cost this county $4,127. - Princess Anne Herald."
William married Emaline Leonard, daughter of Joshua Leonard and (?) Parker, on 10 Jan 1839.1 (Emaline Leonard was born on 26 Feb 1817 in MD,1 3 6 7 died on 12 Nov 1908 in MD 1 8 and was buried about 15 Nov 1908 in Allen Church Cemetery, Allen, Wicomico Co., MD.)
