Archibald married Martha Bacon Perdue, daughter of Rev. John H. Bailey Perdue and Mary Murphy. (Martha Bacon Perdue was born in 1835 in Lowndes Co., AL, died in 1880 in Denton Co., TX and was buried in 1880 in Honey Creek Cemetery, Hico, Hamilton Co., TX.)
