bullet  Notes:

Unknown positively that this is daughter of Sovereign Hitch. However, in the Marriage Records of Gibson County, Indiana, there is record of Sarah Hitch marrying Reuben R. Field in 1839. We also know that Edward and Zack Hitch moved to Gibson County, Edward by 1838, Zack in 1842. It would be safe to assume that a sister, namely this Sarah Hitch may have come with them.

From "The Descendants of Abraham Field" on the Internet, we get the following note for Sarah hitch Field: "Lived with son Byron Allen in 1880, according to the Federal Census of White River Township, Gibson County, Indiana, 1880. Family tradition, (according to her descendent Kelly Field-Hanlon of Colorado) says that her son Byron Allen took her west and she died somewhere along the Oregon Trail. Byron's brother, Henry Clinton, never spoke to him again. "
