He had died by Mar 14 1820 when a listing in the Somerset Orphans Court mentions that James Simms is appointed administrator of Samuel Simms (Page 136, 144). See also SoAA-JP5:145 where account was valued at $344.03. It mentions his "widow" (unnamed) and sons James, William and daughters Polly, Sophia and Matilda.
Samuel married Mary (?). (Mary (?) was born about 1777 in Somerset Co., MD and died before 11 Mar 1823 in Somerset Co., MD 1.)
