Pete, 86, passed away at the Black Hawk Senior Residence in Fort Atkinson. He was born the son of Edward & Elizabeth (Geitner) Hitch. He married Elizabeth Erna Brandt on April 14, 1944, in Fort Atkinson. He worked for the City of Fort Atkinson until his retirement. After his retirement, he drove funeral coach for Kutz Livery Service and later for Nitardy Funeral Home. Pete was a member of the First United Methodist Chruch of Fort Atkinson. Surviving are his wife, two sisters, a brother, a favorite niece, and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Pete was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Stanley Hitch; three brothers, Ralph Hitch, Harvey Hitch and Edward Hitch Jr.; and two sisters, Hazel Davis and Doris Spitzer.
Howard married Elizabeth Erna Brandt, daughter of Otto Brandt and Erna Schwenn, on 14 Apr 1944 in Ft. Atkinson, Jefferson Co., WI.1 (Elizabeth Erna Brandt was born on 07 Aug 1921 in Germany, died on 24 Apr 2010 in Ft. Atkinson, Jefferson Co., WI and was buried on 28 Apr 2010 in Evergreen Cemetery, Ft. Atkinson, Jefferson Co., WI.)
