His birth certificate calls him Edward Wiltbanks (with 's', which is a fairly common misrepresentation) born Oct 12 1881 on Elliott Ave in 9th Ward of Wilmington, DE with father as Isaac N. Wiltbanks, age 29 from DE, who works in a flour mill and Mary Dolan, age 27 from Ireland. It states he was the 3rd child in the family. (DE Birth Records 1800-1932)

Edward Wiltbank had no middle name. Says he was a flour mill hand and the 1900 census says he was a twister in a cotton mill. In 1910, he is listed as a machinist in a machine shop. In 1940, he is listed as a file clerk in a chemical office. He worked from 1910 to his retirement in 1947 at Dupont in Wilmington.

His WWI draft registration card from Sep 12 1918 lists him as age 36 living at 2207 Carter Street, Wilmington, DE. He is a blue printer at E.I. Dupont de NeMours born Oct 12 1881 with wife Florence Mabel Wiltbank. His draft registration card from Apr 27 1942 lists his age as 60, born Oct 12 1881 in Wilmington, DE. His wife is listed as Florence Mabel Wiltbank and they were living at 2207 Carter Street in Wilmington. His employer is listed as E.I. Dupont de NeMours in the Engineering Department at 10th and Orange Streets in Wilmington. He is white, 5'-7" and weighing 150 pounds with light complexion, blue eyes and brown hair. Notable features then from this record are "left eye out" and "left temple scar". It also states that he has no middle name.

His death certificate lists his father and mother as Isaac Wiltbank and Mary Dolan and that he died of enchephalitis and grippe. He was in Delmar, DE at the time though still lived in Wilmington.
