Mrs. Maudie Hitch, 67, died Sunday at 1 pm in Our Savior's Hospital, Jacksonville, following a prolonged illness. She was the wife of Harley Hitch.
A daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. David Hudson, she was born Oct 29, 1889 in Greene County. She was married Aug 11, 1917 to Harley Hitch. Mrs. Hitch was a member of Oakland Baptist Church, east of White Hall, and belonged to White Hall American Legion Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Miss Ruth Hitch, who resides at home, two brothers, Ir and Frank Hudson of White Hall, and two sisters, Mrs. Alden Edwards, White Hall, and Mrs. Ralph Hall, Versailles.
The body is a Dawdy Funeral Home where rites will be conducted Tuesday at 2 pm. Burial will be in White Hall cemetery.
Maude married Harley Hitch, son of William Peter Hitch and Sarah A.
